Drink the Kool Aid of the ObamaCare Teleprompter President
Posted by Miss Moneypenny
Hey There Obama (Drink the Kool Aid), Jul 14, 2009
Background
Hey There Obama is a parody of Hey There Delilah by the Plain White T’s. John Keenan wrote this insightful satire about the adoration of President Obama by his faithful fans who love Barack’s Socialism Changes. Phillip Campbell sings John’s Song of Satire.
His music video was posted in response to Conservative Comedian Steven Crowder’s “The Obama Song.”

Lyrics
To hold the president in awe,
You have no flaw.
At first I didnt think that it’d be good for me to drink it til those federal agents burst in and they shot me with a squirt gun.
Now I see,
Your presidential majesty,
On bended knee.
Now I know that you’re the one,
Hope and change have just begun.
Drink the Kool Aid have your fill,
Our kids are picking up the bill, they’re picking up the bill.
Although, I used to worry that Barack was in a hurry,
To destroy the Constitution with the left wing revolution I’m inclined
To say I really wouldn’t mind,
True love is blind.
And when I start to fret that we are running up a debt that will reduce the U.S. dollar to a value somewhat smaller than a slug,
I simply pull another mug, then I feel smug.
Chorus.
I now believe in hope and change and while it seems a little strange that since you came my life is getting worse.
it doesn’t matter how you rule your fans will always think you’re cool, You’re young and hip and best of all diverse.
Obama, I can promise you that even if you bring us to disaster we’ll still love you and exclaim,
Give Bush the blame.
To those few extremists clinging to the faith of your upbringing hey you need a new religion come a be a happy pigeon in a flock,
The great assembly of Barack, the god of Talk.
Please don’t call him the Messiah he is actually much higher,
He’s humanity perfected Che Guevara resurrected hes so swell,
I’d gladly follow him to hell,
just like Michelle.
Chorus:
Now I know that you’re the one, hope and change have just begun. Drink the Kool Aid have your fill our kids are picking up the bill, they’re picking up the bill.

Interesting…Who knew a happy MM could take an ugly political turn? But since you brought it up…I think Bush fans are just of guilty of drinking the Kool-Aid for the last 8 years.
One that note…Have a happy MM!
Hi Denise,
@”Who knew a happy MM could take an ugly political turn?” : I don’t understand how a hilarious song of satire turns anything humorous into something that is ugly (or offensive).
From my Independent Libertarian (independent when it comes to political parties and a libertarian viewpoint) eyes, I agree with you that Bush fans may have been drinking Bush’s brand of Texan Kool Aid.
If I recall correctly, Bush was also the subject of Political Parody and Political Satire which no doubt made Liberals happy on any day of the week including Happy Music Monday.
Happy Music Monday
Really powerful song there. Happy MM
Hi Stacie,
Hopefully John’s Serenade,
Exposes Obama’s Masquerade.

Will Not be forced to drink Obama’s Kool Aid!
