On November 21, 2010, Banksta Cain wrote “Don’t be VAT stupid” and Herman ‘Munster’ Cain clearly informed Americans that “the worst idea is a proposed national sales tax, which is a disguised VAT (value added tax) on top of everything we already pay in federal taxes.” Banksta Cain later baked his national sales tax into his 9-9-9 plan.
Satire -> Buy any 9 pizzas for 9 dollars each and Citizen Cain will tax you 9 dollars for each pizza.
On the surface, the 9-9-9 Tax Plan of the former CEO of Godfather’s Pizza, Herman ‘Munster’ Cain appears to be a tax cut since the nearly 15 percent payroll tax for Social Security and Medicare would be repealed. In reality, Cain’s 9-9-9 Tax Plan gives Congress a new revenue stream, a 9 percent federal sales tax (on top of existing state sales taxes) that critics believe include hidden value-added taxes.
Since the value-added taxes (VATs) are included in the price of the goods and services, the government has the legal power (if Cain’s 999 plan passes) to tax Americans without their knowledge.
Herman ‘Munster’ Cain’s transitional (temporary) 999 tax plan would impose a 9 percent tax on personal income, a 9 percent tax on corporate income and a 9 percent national sales tax. It would ditch all deductions (both personal and business). The 9 percent Value Added national sales Tax would increase the cost-of-living. According to Bruce Bartlett, the price of everything will increase by 9 percent. According to ABC, a family of four with an income of just under $50,000, could end up paying $2,725 more.
Since Business would not be allowed to deduct wages and related business expenses, Employers would lack the incentive to create new jobs. In the end, Cain’s 999 tax plan would fuel Big Government’s spending and further the current economic demise under the guise of being “conservative.”

(1) On Dec 3, 2011, Herman Cain dropped out of the GOP presidential race due to the continued distraction of allegations of sexual impropriety. The allegations of sexual misconduct derailed the Cain Train and his “9-9-9″ tax plan.
Apparently, Ginger White, an Atlanta woman who claims to have had an sexual affair with Cain for 13 years, dealt the death blow to Herman Cain’s campaign. Cain claims he gave Ginger White money to help her with “month-to-month bills and expenses” as her friend and Ginger told ABC’s George Stephanopolous, “this was not sex for money.”
