(1) The chorus of The Ketchup Song is a phonetic parody of the first verse of Rapper’s Delight…
I said a hip hop, the hippie, the hippie
Aserejé ja de jé de jebe
To the hip hip hop, a you don’t stop
tu de jebere sebiunouva
The rock it to the bang bang boogie
majabi an de bugui
Say up jumped the boogie
an de buididipí
The Spanglish chorus, “Aserejé ja de jé de jee…” is pronounced phonetically in Spanish as it sounds to someone who does not understand English.
