  1. Hi Bobby!

Hopefully, my “Obama blaming Bush” statement is viewed as satire about the transparent presidential campaign of Barack by making a point about politicians attacking their opponent when they lack substance.

No matter which political party was or is at fault, Obama has many fires to put out. News stories like CNN claiming Obama said, “We need to get that spirit of patriotism, and we need to go back to what our forefathers believed in.” during his 137-mile train trip from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Washington, D.C. – the historic route that Obama’s hero, Abraham Lincoln traveled to become President in 1861 – will not help Obama. If Obama wants to gain the trust of divided Americans, his empty rhetoric has to end and positive action needs to start quickly.

Sounds like Obama should ask Governor Haley Barbour for tips on leadership skills! 🙂

P.S. Considering Obama’s record, it is hard to believe he said, “we need to go back to what our forefathers believed in.” Was Obama’s statement a 172° political spin for the 72 male virgins in heaven?

  2. I’m actually happy with Haley Barbour’s governorship. Mississippi has remained amazingly stable during this entire financial crisis–as reported widely here on the local networks–we are doing well, much better than states with tons of big cities.

I doubt Obama will spend much time blaming Bush. He can’t afford to think about that, he must do well to get reelected as American’s have little patience right now. Hey, I’m all for preserving the environment and getting off oil–and new technologies are coming. It’s just some of the hardcore environmental extremists that scare me, willing to cripple the system to save polar bears and so forth. If Yellowstone’s super-volcano blows, we’ll all suffocate in a worldwide ash cloud and nobody will be here to worry over any of this stuff hahaha! 🙂

Yeah, such an announcement would be funny, especially if it were true.

  3. Hi Bobby!

Poor King George has been amBUSHed by Global Warming, too?
Some think Bush caused Global Warming when he was sworn into office in 2001!

That’s almost as bad as Bobby Kennedy Jr.(1) who blamed Dubya Bush and Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour for the Hurricane Katrina because they didn’t support the Kyoto treaty. I seriously doubt signing the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change treaty would have changed the weather.

I wonder if Obama will blame Bush for his (Barack’s) mistakes, too? 😉

Thanks to Politics versus Reality, the facts and myths about Global Warming have been blurred. For example, Volcanic eruptions cause Global Cooling. In 1991, the eruption of Mt Pinatubo released 14-26 million tonnes of sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere which was greater than the warming effects of human-induced greenhouse gas changes during 1991-93. As a result, Mt Pinatubo caused Global cooling of 0.5°C for one year!

It would be extremely funny if a global scientist announced Man-made CO2 emissions balance (or counter) the effects of Volcanic eruptions over the long term!

  4. Actually Debbie, man made global warming will resume in about 25 years and remelt the ice caps (which are getting bigger). The current global cooling was caused by the global warming and it’s all George Bush’s fault 😯
