Hump Day Humor: Government Size on National Tax Day

In a new Political Pickle, Condoleezza Rice and Michelle Obama are graphically comparing the size of a Republican government to a Democratic government. The size comparison can also be extended to include the size of the deficit, the size of new taxes, the size of earmarks, or the size of the President’s Chief of Staff…

Was the First Lady explaining how Obama plans to expand the government to the students or boasting about her love life?

The Axis of Taxes for National Tax Day, April 15, 2009

According to the Citizens Against Government Waste, the Obama administration and the Democratic Congress have set a new record high for pork-barrel spending.

  • 2008: 11,610 earmarks totaling $17.2 billion (Bush)
  • 2009: 10,160 earmarks totaling $19.6 billion (Obama)

      Hi Doc Shoal!

Hopefully, you will be safe as long as you don’t bend over looking for O’s stimulus package!

  2. Howdy Debbie! I’ve been busy but cannot resist visiting my favorite political satirist! I’m so amazed how liberals are labeling tea parties as right wing propaganda parties. I tend to like Glenn Beck and his zany constitution view on the subject. This isn’t about the right wing (as I’m certainly not right wing) it’s about Obama’s transnationalistic fascism and the overpowered government sucking the cash out of future generations. Like Ron Paul said today in an interview with Montel Williams: Obama is simply continuing the big spending of Bush. It’s Barack W. Bush, commander in thief.

      Hi Bobby!

In addition, it is bizarre to see our cherished constitutional freedom of dissent was lewdly characterized using a sexually charged double entendre. According to MSNBC’s David Shuster, “Wednesday is Tea bagging Day for the right wing, and they are going nuts for it.” Hopefully, no one will ask Dick Armey to “lick government spending.” 😉

Fortunately, I censored my thought of a sexually charged double entendre for out of control government spending which has increased the National Debt to $11.176 trillion.

@ “Barack W. Bush, commander in thief” : I wonder how long it will take the people who voted for Obama to realize they indirectly gave Dubya Bush a third term?

And, if Jack Cafferty’s propaganda is true than apparently, Obama can do no wrong:

“People like this man (Obama). They hate Congress, they hate the auto industry, they hate government, they hate Wall Street but, they like this guy.” -Jack Cafferty on The Daily Show, March 30, 2009

I would love to meet these people who say they like (love?) Obama and hate Obama’s controlled government(1) and ask them how they can be for Obama and against Obama at the same time?

On April 1 (of all days), 2009, the The Cybersecurity Act of 2009 was introduced that if approved will give President Obama the power to shut down domestic Internet traffic during a state of emergency and give Obama access to private data according to Mother Jones.

      (1) For Liberals who may have written to Jack or actually read the comments in my satire posts, President Barack Obama asserted unprecedented government control over the auto industry and announced the government will back new car warranties issued by both GM and Chrysler on Mar 30th. On April 2, 2009, The Democratic controlled Congress overwhelmingly approved President Obama’s $3.55 trillion budget. Despite the economic crisis, Obama’s government that Americans hate (according to Cafferty) kept almost all of Obama’s wish lists intact.

The Senate approved its blueprint of Obama’s Budget 55 to 43, with only two Democrats voting No with the Republicans. The House voted 233 to 196 to support the Democratic budget proposal, with 20 Democrats voting No with Republicans.

The Democratic controlled government which Americans hate (according to Cafferty) consists of 57 Democratic Senators, 41 Republican Senators, 257 Democratic Representatives, and 178 Republican Representatives.

Perhaps, the only government that people hate (according to Cafferty) includes all the Republicans who voted against Obama’s Budget? 😯
