Channeling Barack Shit (CBS)

B.S. “I believe in the Constitution and I will obey the Constitution of the United States. We’re not going to use signing statements as a way of doing an end-run around Congress,” –Senator Obama as a presidential candidate in 2008

Truth: To date, Obama has used signing statements 21 times.

B.S.: “withdraw one or two brigades per month… our combat troops out (of Iraq) within 16 months… sometime in 2009.” –Senator Obama during the Democratic Debates on the Iraq War Apr 26, 2007 ~ Jan 21, 2008.

Truth: “Let me say this as plainly as I can: by August 31, 2010, our combat mission in Iraq will end… I intend to remove all U.S. troops from Iraq by the end of 2011.” –President Obama on Ending the Iraq War on Feb 27, 2009

Obama ended the Iraq War as defined by the Status of Forces Agreement which was approved during President George W. Bush’s administration.
Obama will end the Iraq War as Bush promised which he claimed Barack opposed and Hussein promised to end in 2009.

B.S.: “My Administration is committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in Government.  We will work together to ensure the public trust and establish a system of transparency, public participation, and collaboration. Openness will strengthen our democracy and promote efficiency and effectiveness in Government.” –President Obama on January 21, 2009

Truth: Negotiations with insurance companies, drug companies and other special interests were conducted behind closed doors which was the direct opposite of Barack’s transparency pledge 2008 campaign of open ObamaCare meetings:

“I’m going to have all the negotiations around a big table… We’ll have doctors and nurses and hospital administrators. Insurance companies, drug companies — they’ll get a seat at the table, they just won’t be able to buy every chair. But what we will do is, we’ll have the negotiations televised on C-SPAN.” -Senator Obama at the town hall meeting in Chester, Va. on Aug. 21, 2008

B.S.: “I can make a firm pledge. Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes,” vowed candidate Obama

Truth: In 2009 (part of the reauthorization of the State Children’s Health Insurance Program), Obama increased the federal tax on cigarettes from 39 cents to $1.01, a tax hike of 62 cents. In 2013, Obama proposed to raise the tax by another 94 cents per pack, nearly doubling the current tax. According to Cathy Reisenwitz of the Reason Foundation, “low-income, low-education and minority populations all smoke more than high-income, high-education and white populations, and by a good bit.”

The Obamacare Mandate will be a Tax penalty on those individuals who choose to go without health insurance

B.S.: “As of today I’m pledging to cut the deficit we inherited in half by the end of my first term in office. This will not be easy. It will require us to make difficult decisions and face challenges we’ve long neglected. But I refuse to leave our children with a debt that they cannot repay — and that means taking responsibility right now, in this administration, for getting our spending under control.” – President Obama’s Fiscal Responsibility Summit on Feb 23, 2009

Truth: The Federal Debt under Obama has averaged $1.49 trillion per year, more than two times as much under Bush ($612 Billion per year).

Since President Barack Obama released his first federal budget entitled, ‘A New Era of Responsibility’ on Feb. 26, 2009, the federal debt has skyrocketed $4.473 trillion (Feb 12, 2012: $15,354,108,706,908.54 – $10,881,159,722,022.36 – Feb 26, 2009).

Dubya Bush increased the National Debt by $4.9 Trillion in 8 years (Jan 20, 2009: $10,626,877,048,913.08 – $5,727,776,738,304.64 – Jan 19, 2001).

Ronald Reagan increased the National Debt by $1.69 Trillion in 8 years (Sep 30, 1988: $2,601,104,000,000 – $909,041,000,000 – Sep 30, 1980).

B.S.: “we are not a country that runs prisons that locks people away without ever telling them why they’re there or what they’re charged with.” Senator Barack Obama’s Take Back America in Washington, D.C. on June 19, 2007

Truth: President Obama quietly authorized the indefinite military detention of American citizens without charge or trial when he signed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) on December 31st, 2011 while he was enjoying his $4 million taxpayer-funded vacation. Although Obama pledged to exempt Americans from indefinite detention, the indefinite detention provisions of the NDAA legally declares the entire United States to be a battleground and Americans are potential enemies. Obama and future administrations can interpret the NDAA law differently at any time and apply indefinite military detention to American citizens.

Ironically, the Senate passed the NDAA Bill on the Bill of Rights Day, December 15th, 2011.

You (al Qaeda) can take away our lives but only Obama and Congress can take away our freedoms.

Note that the above list only scratches the surface of Barack’s B.S.
