Ironically, the rumors of Michael Jackson’s death and the news of his death caused Twitter spikes and Internet Interruptions for AOL’s TMZ site.

A BlogPulse Index by Nielsen reveals the posts of Michael Jackson’s death (almost 9%) far exceeded those of the inauguration of President Obama (nearly 4%) and the swine flu (about 2%). Source: USA Today
