Dancing Queen Her Majesty’s Royal iPod

dancingqueenWith her Majesty’s Royal iPod, Queen Elizabeth is the new Dancing Queen.

On April 1st, President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle met with the Queen and her husband, Prince Philip, at Buckingham Palace right before his G20 Summit. Barack gave his royal highness a iPod loaded with video footage of her royal visit to Washington and Virginia in 2007.

As an April Fools joke(?), Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh presented the Obamas with signed portraits of themselves. According to Forbes, the reigning monarch was worth $420 million dollars in 2001. Miss Moneypenny asked the Queen why she didn’t help out the Bank of Obama. Queen Elizabeth laughed as she danced away singing, ‘do I look like an American Taxpayer to you?’

President Barack Hussein Obama was the 11th president of the United States to meet Elizabeth Alexandra Mary aka Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom since Queen Elizabeth inherited the British throne in 1952. Queen Elizabeth has met 11 of the last 12 US presidents, including Harry Truman when she was a Princess. Lyndon Johnson was the only president she did not meet.

Her Majesty can dance, Her Majesty can jive,
having the time of Her life.
See that Queen,
Watch that scene,
Can you dig the Dancing Queen?

      Hi Angie,

Ironically, Queen Elizabeth shocked guests at Windsor Castle when she danced to ‘Dancing Queen’ last year. Apparently, she said, “I always try to dance when this song comes on because I am the queen and I like to dance.”

I wonder if Queen Elizabeth can skate and perform a triple Lutz-double toeloop at the skating party? 😉

      Hi Ane,

We can all dance to start the week like Queen Elizabeth who is an ABBA fan! 😀

Here is my comical rewrite of the opening Dancing Queen Lyrics for Queen Elizabeth:

Her Majesty can dance, Her Majesty can jive, having the time of Her life.
      See that Queen,
      Watch that scene,
Can you dig the Dancing Queen? 😀
